Almudena Alcaide is the fashion designer behind Almu Lingerie. She launched her brand in 2012 after realizing there was a huge need to provide underwear that was caring with the skin and that was made through sustainability. Always between New York and Spain she finds her inspiration on the females of her family, dreams, art, and sociology. Her love for lingerie was inherited from her mother that used to always gift underwear sets to her four daughters and this created an extreme bond with such pieces. She graduated from Istituto Europeo di Design in Madrid and afterwards from Parsons in NY. Almudena has always found a balance between her personal work and working for others. She has worked for well-known brands such as Donna Karan, Peter Som and Deborah Marquit, and has had clients like Macy’s, Zara, Lane Bryant, Dress Barn etc, while working for different fashion suppliers. At the same time wrote articles about fashion and became a finalist for the contest Muuse Vogue Talents and Art of Fashion.
